If modern technology is good for anything, it's telling us what (and what not) to put in our bodies. As a result of self-monitoring devices , we have a goal number for everything: sleep , workout , whatever. And, we're hyper-aware of the chemicals in what we eat and drink—and the sources of said chemicals. We take the right steps to avoid it when solutions are staring us right in the face, like in our water and cookware . It's my firm belief that you should too. Replacing your toxic and PTFE-coated pots and pans is the easiest place to start. Non-toxic cookware isn't hard to find. The bad stuff is a consequence of the non-stick, dishwasher-safe wave. But now, with the new focus on clean living, there are more nonstick options that are PFAS and PFTE-free than ever.
