The Battalion have decided to give 7-foot-one-inch defenceman Alexander Kharmanov his chance to play. Article content Article content

North Bay signed Kharmanov after he was let go by the Brantford Bulldogs. That came after the Ontario Hockey League’s top club traded for a third import player to max out the number they can carry.

Last week, head coach Ryan Oulahen told the media that it may be a while before Kharmanov joined the starting lineup. A while turned into a week. What happened to change that belief?
