Pop star and Pennsylvania native Sabrina Carpenter and the cartoon Franklin the Turtle are an unlikely duo, but they are both feuding with the Trump administration over their inclusion in social media posts.
Carpenter, who is from Bucks County, lashed out at the White House on Tuesday for using her song “Juno” in an X video mocking those opposed to President Donald Trump’s hardline crackdown on immigration and showing ICE officers making arrests.
In a response on X , Carpenter wrote that “this video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”
While the original White House post had a little over 12 million views by Wednesday morning, Carpenter’s retort had over 79 million views.
