WEIRTON – A boil order has been issued for all Weirton Area Water Board customers in Skyview Drive, as well as any nearby residents or businesses who experienced low or no water pressure.

The order, issued at 9:40 a.m. today, follows work performed on a water line on Skyview Drive.

If you live in the affected areas listed above bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible, and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.
