MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the person whose body was recovered from Lake Monona on Thanksgiving.

Kyle D. Bonnell, 43, was pronounced dead once crews recovered his body, the medical examiner’s office said Wednesday.

Just after 2 p.m. on November 27, authorities responded to a report of an unconscious person in the water on Lake Monona near North Shore Drive.

Officials said preliminary results show the Madison man died from drowning.

More testing is underway.
