DEXTER – Nathan Gersh knew playing Division I football was in the cards for him before he even stepped on the field as a high school player.
It was clear from his freshman season that Gersh’s desires were a possibility, and that dream became a reality on Wednesday when the Dexter star linebacker signed with Toledo during the early signing period for D-I football players.
“It’s a big weight lifted off my shoulders,” Gersh said. “Ever since I was in about eighth grade, I knew I wanted to play college football and we’re finally here. So, I’m just really excited and blessed to be here.”
Gersh burst onto the scene as a freshman for the Dreadnaughts displaying the potential to be an impact defensive player.
