OMAK - Fire crews worked early Friday morning to contain a structure fire at 415 S. Columbia St.

North winds of 20–25 mph pushed the blaze, but firefighters kept it from spreading to nearby properties, according to Omak Fire Chief Jeremy Patrick.

Patrick said the fire was fully involved when units arrived at 6:33 a.m. and was contained to the property of origin.

The cause could not be determined.
