Halle Berry just publicly called out the Governor of California, Gavin Newsom .

The 59-year-old Oscar winner made an appearance at The New York Times DealBook Summit 2025 at Jazz at Lincoln Center on Wednesday (December 3) in New York City.

It was there that she called him out, and it all has to do with The Menopause Care Equity Act.

The bill was aimed at improving research, training, and access to quality health care for women experiencing menopause. Halle was an advocate of the legislation, using her platform and personal experience to rally public support and encourage lawmakers to take the issue seriously. Although the bill gained national attention, Newsom declined to support it.
