Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman (0) celebrates with Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox (88) after scoring a touchdown during the third quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium.

Fantasy playoffs are close, and you need every advantage you can get to make sure you're fighting for the trophy. No one wants to be in the consolation bracket, and picking the right tight end this week could make all the difference.

Here are the TEs you need to play this week and the ones that need to see the pine for your own good.

Start: Brenton Strange (Jacksonville Jaguars)

The Jaguar tight end has been ramping up as the season has gone along, and looks to have a massive day versus an ailing Colts squad in a game that could decide the AFC South. The Colts have one of the weakest coverage teams in football currently, and Strange should rack up some easy yards and be a threat all day for the Jags.

Sit: Oronde Gadsden II (Los Angeles Chargers)

It's easy right now to punch down on the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles, but don't get too overconfident here. Gadsen has had an incredible rookie season, and if he's your only play, go with him, but be aware that the Eagles have the best coverage team still in football. Their offense might need a lot of fine-tuning, and their defensive line has been hit-or-miss, but they know how to cover through the air. Sit the Chargers' tight end if there's a better option on your bench, at least for this week.

Start: Dawson Knox (Buffalo Bills)

The Cincinnati Bengals know what they are. They have a Ferrari for offense now that Chase Burrow is back, and a junker in the garage, their defense, primarily the secondary. They know every game they need to win is more than likely going to be a shootout, which should mean Knox is going to get a lot of action against a Bengals defense that bends and breaks simultaneously.

Sit: Isaiah Likely (Baltimore Ravens)

Likely is coming off a huge game, and the stats are going to tell you to play him. Wrong. That was against the Bengals. As aforementioned in the Knox section, scoring against the Cincy secondary is an outlier, not the norm. Pittsburgh is Pittsburgh, with a coverage team that knows how to defend properly, and Likely isn't going to have an easy team. Add to the fact that Lamar Jackson isn't 100% and not pulling defenses as he usually does, and it could be a slog of a day for the Ravens offense.

Start: Trey McBride (Arizona Cardinals)

McBride is one of the best tight ends in football, but a matchup against the Rams might scare a few owners from playing him. The Rams do have a strong defense, but they are weak against large, physical playmakers, and McBride is the type that is still going to get his yards and points even if the Cardinals overall struggle. Don't be scared to ride McBride even in a difficult matchup.

Sit: Gunnar Helm (Tennessee Titans)

Don't try to get cute. Helm has had a few good games as a safety blanket for rookie Cam Ward, and they're playing the Browns, so you might think you can outbrain your friends. Please don't do it. Cleveland is going to be running after Ward from the first second of the game, and Myles Garrett is on a rampage to break the sacks record. Helm might get a few passes and some yardage, but this isn't a game to try to out-think anyone. Go with better tight ends in your arsenal.
