Illinois secretary of state takes action to avoid REAL ID penalties for residents

The Illinois Secretary of State is taking steps to ensure residents are not penalized for not having a Real ID, as the TSA plans to impose a $45 fee on travelers without a passport or Real ID starting February 1.
