TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - As temperatures in Tucson begin to drop, Gospel Rescue Mission (GRM) is launching Operation Rescue from the Cold starting Monday, Dec. 1. This initiative aims to provide essential refuge for men and women experiencing homelessness.
The cold desert winter poses a significant risk to those without shelter, increasing the chances of illness and hypothermia. GRM encourages anyone facing homelessness or housing insecurity to seek shelter.
“Cold weather is silent but dangerous,” Lisa Chastain, CEO of Gospel Rescue Mission, said. She emphasized that the shelter offers love, grace, dignity, and respect, creating a welcoming environment for all.
