The new-look Avengers team, led by Sam Wilson, has been unveiled for Avengers: Doomsday . The Avengers ceased to exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the events of Avengers: Endgame , with no official new team being assembled in Phase 4. The MCU took a step towards its reformation in Captain America: Brave New World , with Sam tasked with finding a new group of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Now, Disney has confirmed what the team will look like in Avengers: Doomsday . Captain America leads the way, with Joaquin Torres' Falcon by his side. The Asgardian gods Thor and Loki are also part of the team. Ant-Man is back in the fold, while Shang-Chi achieves official Avenger status after his Phase 4 debut.

That makes for an intriguing construction of this Avengers roster,
