MILFORD, Pa. — A 33-year-old Pike County man will spend the rest of his life in a state prison for murdering his parents , county District Attorney Ray Tonkin said Wednesday.

President Judge Gregory Chelak sentenced Colin Winkler, of Milford to a life term plus 20 years for slaying his parents, Jeffrey Winkler and Jacqueline Winkler, at their home Sept. 24, 2024.

Jacqueline Winkler reportedly told her son, Colin Winkler's brother, that the now 33-year-old was suffering a "psychotic break," state police previously said. Colin Winkler stabbed his parents to death with a kitchen knife, stripped naked and smeared their blood on his body.
