Matthew Perry ‘s doctor is headed to prison.

Salvador Plasencia was held responsible for supplying the late actor with ketamine, which led to his untimely death from overdose in 2023.

On Wednesday (December 3), Plasencia was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison, according to Variety .

The publication reports that he apologized to Matthew ‘s family before his sentence was read in a Los Angeles federal court, and he also admitted to violating the oath he took to care for the actor.

“I failed Mr. Perry . I failed his family,” he said. “I should have protected him.”
