ALLEN, Texas — When a child enters the foster care system, adoption can be difficult. When three children enter together, the challenge grows and so does the urgency.

This week's Wednesday's Child features three siblings who are at risk of being separated if an adoptive family doesn't step forward soon.

Ten-year-old Sofia, 9-year-old Angel and 6-year-old J are inseparable, and it's clear why. Their bond is evident in the joy they share. WFAA spent an afternoon with them at Flour Power Cooking Studios in Allen, where they baked, laughed, and simply enjoyed being together as kids.

"We want to keep them together. That's the goal," said Cynthia Arzate, their court-appointed special advocate.
