SIENA - Liam Gleason, 41, the Siena University men’s lacrosse head coach, died Wednesday at Albany Medical Center, four days after suffering a traumatic brain injury as the result of falling on stairs at his home.
Gleason was in his eighth season as head coach at Siena. He guided the Saints to the MAAC championship in 2025, qualifying them for the NCAA Division I Tournament for the first time in 11 seasons. Siena earned a record 13 All-MAAC awards, including Coach of the Year for Gleason, who also earned ECAC Coach of the Year honors.
