A Loveland man was sentenced to two years in prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to two of the charges he faced in connection to several burglaries of residential garages in the PrairieStar neighborhood in Berthoud in September.
The defendant, 37-year-old Roger Rickard, described the incident as a lapse of judgment before 8th Judicial District Court Judge Sarah Cure during a hearing Wednesday morning in Fort Collins.
He was arrested in September after several residents reported items missing from their garages. Rickard pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree burglary and theft between $5,000 and $20,000, both class five felonies.
