Federal agents initiated immigration enforcement operations in New Orleans Wednesday, targeting undocumented immigrants with violent records, just as the Trump administration reportedly prepares for another crackdown in Minnesota's Twin Cities.
In Minnesota, the reported focus of the operation is on undocumented Somali immigrants — a community that President Donald Trump claimed "contribute[s] nothing" during a cabinet meeting Tuesday.
"I'll be honest with you, OK? Somebody would say, 'Oh, that's not politically correct.' I don't care. I don't want them in our country," Trump said. "Their country is no good for a reason. Their country stinks, and we don't want them in our country."
