ELYRIA, Ohio -- Thirteen student artists were celebrated at a recent Lorain County Board of Commissioners meeting for their winning entries in the 2025 Lorain County Solid Waste Management District calendar contest, which drew nearly 1,500 submissions.
Brandi Schnell, special projects manager for the Lorain County Solid Waste Management District, presented the winners to commissioners, highlighting both their artwork and their aspirations for the future.
“It was a very successful contest and we are very proud of the entries that we received, and whittling that down was very, very difficult and a lot of hard work,” Schnell said.
