ELLSWORTH, Maine (WABI) - If you’re looking to grow your heart three sizes this Christmas season, there’s an event Downeast to fill your family with cheer.

Saturday, December 6 is Ellsworth’s annual Holiday Celebration.

It’ll be the 45th year of the event and to commemorate another anniversary, the theme is “Christmas in Whoville.”

This year is the 25th anniversary of the live action film’s release.

Appropriately, the parade’s Grand Marshal will be the Grinch himself.

Some of the city’s storefronts have already joined the fun, decking out their storefronts in the Suess-theme.

At last check, more than 40 local business have signed up to participate in this weekend’s parade.
