MOSES LAKE, Wash. -- An ongoing teachers strike in Moses Lake has led to school being cancelled for all students on Thursday.
According to the Moses Lake School District, the district and the Moses Lake Education Association are currently in the bargaining phase. The district is currently reviewing a proposal the Education Association put forth this afternoon. You can read the proposals by
During the strike, all MLSD school buildings will be closed to the public. The district office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
The district said it will continue to offer free breakfast and lunch for all students each school day during the strike. Meals can be picked up daily from 11 a.m. to noon at any elementary school location.
