MADISON (WKOW) -- The recent escape of Morgan Geyser from her group home has left Madison residents concerned. Geyser, known for her involvement in the Slenderman stabbing case, cut off her GPS monitoring bracelet and walked away from her state-licensed group home on Kronke Drive on Nov. 22.
Neighbors on the street where the home is located told 27 News they were unaware Geyser was living there. In July, Geyser had been slated for placement in Sun Prairie, but the facility refused to accept her due to publicity. Residents said they wished they had been informed about her placement. They were also surprised Madison police weren't notified of her disappearance until the following morning.
