TEMPLE, Texas — Cha Community, a boba tea and Taiwanese food cafe with locations in downtown Temple and downtown Waco, has been selected to receive a $5,000 grant from the National Asian and Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (ACE) and Grubhub.
The cafe was chosen as one of only about 100 community restaurants nationwide for the National ACE Restaurant Accelerator and Community Fund Grant, which distributed over $400,000 in total funding to support Asian-owned dining establishments across the country.
The Asian and immigrant-owned family business has come a long way since its humble beginnings over seven years ago at the Downtown Waco Farmers Market. Known for their dumplings and variety of teas, Cha Community has built its reputation on bridging cultures
