MUSCATINE, Iowa (KWQC) - An Iowa judge denied an appeal in a 1980 Muscatine murder on Wednesday.

William Beeman is serving a life sentence for the 1980 murder of Michiel Winkel, who was found at Wildcat Den State Park in Muscatine.

Beeman appealed a lower court’s decision to dismiss his claims for post-conviction relief, which the judge denied.

In September 2024, a judge denied his petition for post conviction relief.
