In a daring rescue reminiscent of an action film, first responders saved a lorry driver whose vehicle was precariously hanging off a busy motorway.
The heart-stopping incident occurred around 6:25 a. m. when a commercial cargo lorry veered off a snowy West Virginia motorway, leaving the cab teetering on the edge of a bridge, nearly 100 feet above the ground.
Images from the scene depict the cab at an almost 90-degree angle, with the driver trapped inside for close to five hours.
Emergency services from the Hurricane Fire Department were called to the scene following reports of a motor vehicle collision on US Route 35 in Mason County.
