Three teenagers were charged after one of them allegedly brought a loaded gun to school and tried to flee an officer in Delaware on Wednesday morning, officials said.

This all unfolded just before 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 3 when staff at Glasgow High School in Newark told a School Resource Officer that the three students had been overheard talking about a handgun, police said.

The three students were identified as 15-year-old, 17-year-old, and 18-year-old Troy Alston, according to the Delaware State Police .

When the officer tried to talk to the 15-year-old, the boy ran into the hallway before the two struggled, officials said.
