CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio —
Two Clermont County parents are facing charges after an infant was hospitalized with a “concerning laceration.”
The injury was reported on Oct. 16, when Clermont County Sheriff’s detectives were notified by Cincinnati Children's Hospital that the infant had a cut that was not suspected to be accidental. Advertisement
The child’s parents, Jacob Marcum and Lydia Wright, were interviewed and Marcum said he found the cut while changing the child’s diaper, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators said Marcum and Wright waited more than an hour before leaving the house to seek medical treatment and took the child to the CCHMC Urgent Care Center in Anderson Township, before the child was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
