Police have issued an update after the roof of a bus was ripped off in a low bridge crash on Wednesday (December 3).
A child was taken to hospital with head injuries and eight others treated at the scene after the school bus struck a bridge in Coppull, Lancashire, at around 12.30pm.
Around 30 children were assessed by medical staff when emergency services were called to Spendmore Lane. The driver and two teachers were also onboard the bus at the time of the collision, but were unhurt.
An eight-year-old boy required hospital treatment for a cut to her head, LancsLive reported. The road was closed for around three hours while police dealt with the incident and for recovery of the bus, a double decker.
