PHOENIX — It seems like more coyote sightings have been reported on neighborhood social media apps over the past few weeks.
So, it’s a good time for a reminder about the dangers they can pose to people and their pets.
“You see them all the time,” Robert Clement, who lives in Scottsdale, said. “…Surrounded by saguaros that are all like, 10, 20, 30 feet high.”
Clement says he hears and sees coyotes regularly.
“Coyotes are all around here in the early mornings and late nights,” Clement said.
He sees them so often, he’s come to learn their behavior.
“They’re skittish,” he said. “They’re afraid of you, but I’m afraid of a pack of them. One or two is okay, but a pack is scary.”
