Telemundo and Univision, the nation's two largest Spanish-language television networks, are taking heat for airing ads by the Trump administration that instruct undocumented immigrants to leave the United States.
A Latino advocacy group has launched a boycott against Telemundo and Univision demanding that the two Spanish-language networks stop airing the ads narrated by U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
The boycott campaign called Apaga El Odio, or Turn Off the Hate, was launched by the Latino advocacy group Mijente, which says the government ads sow fear among Latino viewers who consider the networks as trusted allies.
