WARSAW, Ind. (WNDU) - Governor Mike Braun was in Warsaw Wednesday for a groundbreaking ceremony .

It marked our first opportunity to talk with the governor since legislators at the state house resumed an effort to redraw Indiana’s congressional districts and erase the state’s only two democratic congressional seats.

On Monday at the Indianapolis statehouse--- house republicans unveiled a proposed new congressional map for the Hoosier state taking aim at the state’s only two democratic- represented districts.

The decision to revisit redistricting brought demonstrators to the statehouse.

It had been less than a week since the state’s republicans reversed course and said they would vote on the new congressional map that President Trump demanded as part of a White House pressure campaign
