Knicks’ Jalen Brunson hilariously earns votes in New York City mayor race

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson has won over the hearts of many in the city since his arrival three years ago. So much so, that he even earned some votes to be the mayor of New York City.

In the heavily publicized New York City mayor race, Brunson received 27 write-in votes from New Yorkers to run the city, per Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News. Brunson led the way amongst New York sports figures, with New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge’s 11 votes coming in second.

Among other athletes to receive votes include New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo, Yankees pitcher Cam Schlittler, former Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau, Knicks legend Walt Frazier, former Knick Carmelo
