CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The Big Ten conference announced its All-Big Ten honorees Wednesday, where 11 Illini football players were awarded on defense and special teams.

Outside linebacker Gabe Jacas was highlighted as a premiere defender in the conference with a first team selection, leading the Big Ten in sacks (11.0), finishing 2nd in forced fumbles (3), and fourth in sack yards (60).

Seven other defenders were recognized as honorable mentions, including linebacker Dylan Rosiek and defensive backs Matthew Bailey and Miles Scott.

Special teams honorees included Rochester native Hank Beatty as a returner, kicker David Olano, and long snapper Lane Hansen, each as honorable mentions in both the media and coaches polls.
