Three Omaha police officers have been wounded in an exchange of gunfire with a shooting suspect who was killed.
The confrontation with officers Wednesday stemmed from an earlier shooting at a grocery store in which police say the suspect shot a 61-year-old man several times.
Police obtained a license plate number and followed the suspect to a gas station.
The suspect entered a restroom and after officers ordered him to come out, he began firing.
Two officers were hit; a third was hit by shrapnel. The suspect was killed.
The officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The man who was shot at the grocery store was in critical condition.
