New Jersey foodies are used to seeing our restaurants looped into New York City roundups. But a Garden State eatery getting mentioned on a Philadelphia list? That’s a new one.

Resy, the online reservation service, recently published a list of the 10 restaurants that defined Philadelphia dining in 2025 . Among the sushi spots in Rittenhouse Square, French restaurants in South Philly and Mexican joints in Fishtown was one outlier — a restaurant located 50 miles north in Delaware Township.

Sergeantsville Inn , the New American restaurant from chef Sean Gray inside a 300-year-old Hunterdon County tavern, was the 10th spot on the list despite the geographical conundrum.
