Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP) Executive Director Curtis Englehart has earned the nationally recognized designation of Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the partnership announced Tuesday.

The designation recognizes “a mastery of skills in economic development and a dedication to personal and professional growth” and also “marks a significant achievement and underscores Curtis’ commitment to excellence in the field of economic development”, per a GJEP statement.

The CecD designation is the highest credential in the economic development profession. Candidates for this designation must complete an exam assessing knowledge and proficiency in the following areas:

Business retention and expansion;

Finance & credit anal
