Everything you need to know after Lancashire earthquake 'shakes homes' overnight:
A 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck England's North West overnight. Lancashire locals awoken to shaking houses with British Geological Survey data indicating that the quake struck three kilometres under Lancashire at 11.23pm on Wednesday. The quake struck off the coast of Silverdale at 11.23pm, at a depth of 1.86 miles (3km).
BGS said that the tremor was experienced "across the South Lakes and Lancashire, mainly within 20 kilometres of the epicentre, including Lancashire, Kendal and Ulverston". However, some people have claimed they could feel the quake from as far as London.
