Dogs have emotions and feel joy and worry in ways that are similar to our own emotions. They can’t speak and express their feelings verbally, but they can show them in gestures that say more than words ever could.
Morrie is an ideal example of a dog who is not afraid to express his feelings. The pup found his own way to stay grounded when his emotions overwhelm him. A carrot became his emotional support. Regardless of what kind of day he is having, that carrot is always with him.
His attachment may look unusual from the outside, but it reveals something much deeper. It shows how dogs create their own ways to cope, to feel safe and to show love.
