Creative Ctrl with Luca Amon put together a post-Thanksgiving fundraiser for the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri and — almost like Magic — it far exceeded its goal.

The Commander for a Cause event was held 6 p.m. Nov. 29 through noon Nov. 30 at Magelings Games at 1906 Providence Road Suite C, where participants played the Commander format of Magic: the Gathering card game and raised $2,525.31. The goal was $500.
