Michael Johnson scored five goals and added an assist to lead Chaminade (NY) to an 8-3 victory over Seton Hall Prep at Richard J. Codey Arena in West Orange.
Johnson, who recorded a hat trick in the second period alone, was a force on the power play, scoring three of his goals with the man advantage.
Maximus Wood added two goals and two assists for Chaminade, while Jack Petrone and Kevin Bonino each chipped in with three assists.
Chaminade jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Steven Katagos and Wood. It extended its lead to 6-1 after two periods.
Dylan Mesler paced Seton Hall Prep (0-2) with two goals and an assist, while Christian Jaworski had a goal and an assist.
Nathaniel Pitman made 16 saves on 17 shots for Chaminade, while Leonid Remsha recorded 10 saves on 1
