In their search for a late-night ding-dong ditcher, a California homeowner discovered a bear pulling a prank.

On Nov. 26, Dennis Webster was awoken in the night by a ring at the door of his Grand Valley, Calif, home, but he found no one waiting for him at the door. The homeowner decided to check the footage from his doorbell camera to discover the identity of the ding-dong ditcher. The clip revealed an unexpected culprit.

The doorbell camera footage from the incident, which Webster shared with Storyful, shows that a large bear was responsible for the doorbell ring that woke the man.
