The Dallas Cowboys (6-5-1) and the Detroit Lions (7-5) meet for Thursday Night Football at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET (Prime Video). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's Cowboys vs. Lions odds and tab the 5 best prop bets to win among SportsbookWire's expert NFL picks and predictions for Week 13.
The Cowboys topped the Kansas City Chiefs 31-28 as 3.5-point underdogs on Thanksgiving Day as the Over (53) cashed. QB Dak Prescott passed for 320 yards and 2 TDs, while RB Malik Davis rushed for 47 yards and a score. WR CeeDee Lamb led the way with 7 grabs for 112 yards a TD, while WR George Pickens posted 6 receptions for 88 yards on 13 targets. RB Javonte Williams also ran for a team-best 59 yards while adding 21 receiving yards and a TD.
The Lions suffered a 31-24 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Day, failing to cover as 3-point favorites as the Over (48) cashed. WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) suffered an ankle injury, so WR Jameson Williams led the way with 7 receptions, 144 yards and a TD on 10 targets. WR Isaac TeSlaa stepped up with a TD, too. QB Jared Goff threw for 256 yards and 2 TDs, while RB Jahmyr Gibbs ran for 68 yards, while posting 18 receiving yards.
St. Brown did not practice this week, and he is listed as questionable. However, it is not expected that he'll be able to suit up. WR Kalif Raymond (ankle) and TE Brock Wright (neck) are also out.
These teams met last season on Oct. 13, 2024, with the Lions pasting the Cowboys 47-9 as 3.5-point favorites in Dallas as the Over (53) cashed. Goff threw for 315 yards and 3 TDs, while RB David Montgomery scored a pair of rushing TDs.

Best Cowboys at Lions prop bets
Odds provided by BetMGM Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 6:19 a.m. ET
Lions WR Jameson Williams OVER 5.5 RECEPTIONS (-105); Longest Reception OVER 27.5 YARDS (-115); ANYTIME TOUCHDOWN (+110)
The Cowboys have been horrific against the pass, allowing an NFL-high 3,234 yards with 28 TDs allowed through the air. The Cowboys have allowed 39 pass plays of 20 or more yards, too, while tying an NFL high with 11 pass plays of 40+ yards.
We're going to go with a three-fer on Williams, although it's contingent on St. Brown not playing. All indications are that he will miss the game, and perhaps be sidelined for multiple contests. Our focus is only this game, though.
The Cowboys allow 7.8 yards per pass play, which ranks 29th in the NFL, while teams have managed a 109.0 passer rating against them. Williams has had games recently where he was inexplicably blanked. But, on Thanksgiving, he answered the bell and put up huge numbers as the top dog in the passing game.
The 24-year-old has catches of 37 or more yards in 4 of his past 5 games, and he has posted 4 or more receptions in 4 of the past 5 games, including 7 against the Packers as the WR1 for a majority of the game. Look for him to exceed that catch total, and the longest reception total. In addition, he has scored touchdowns in 4 of the past 5 games, so he is a bargain at plus-money still.
TNF: Best ML, ATS and O/U bets
Lions WR Isaac TeSlaa OVER 2.5 RECEPTIONS (-150)
Again, this is also contingent on St. Brown being inactive. The rookie out of Arkansas made a huge impression during training camp and the preseason, and he has 3 TDs in limited action, including 2 scores in 2 games against the Packers.
He stepped up with 2 receptions for 35 yards and a TD last week against the Packers as the WR2 behind Williams. Let's be very careful here. He had 2 grabs last Thursday, and he has a total of 6 catches on 11 targets through 12 games. So, there is risk here. But, this should be his most extensive action, and with Raymond out, LaPorta out and St. Brown likely in street clothes, the opportunity is there for the rook.
Cowboys PK Brandon Aubrey OVER 1.5 FIELD GOALS (-200)
This is a little pricey, but it's the best kicking prop on the board, and if you're a regular reader of my props pieces, you know slot No. 5 is reserved for kickers. I can't get enough of these props, but this was a tough one this week.
In controlled environmental conditions at Ford Field, especially with a decent defense on the other side, hungry for a win, we might see the Dallas offense bog down in Detroit territory, leading to more field-goal attempts. And, while I feel Aubrey should get to 2 field goals, which would be 6 points, he'd still need 3 point-after attempts to get Over 8.5 Points (-115). That's why we're shying away from that prop, and rolling with the field goals, as I honestly don't see Dallas getting 5 scores, with 3 of those coming via TD.
