Cardiff City defender Gabriel Osho has been dealt yet another setback after suffering a dislocated toe during Tuesday night’s 5-1 Vertu Trophy defeat to AFC Wimbledon.

The summer signing, brought in from Auxerre and expected to be a mainstay in Brian Barry-Murphy’s new-look defence, has endured a difficult start to life in the capital with niggling injuries and a handful of costly mistakes disrupting his rhythm. Now, his return will be delayed further.

Barry-Murphy confirmed Osho was forced off at half-time after the latest blow and will undergo a scan today to determine the full extent of the damage.
