Just a couple of days ago, The Travel reported on a Canadian who was refused entry at the U.S. border for a non-criminal incident that occurred almost a decade ago .
As expected, the story caused quite a stir among both Americans and Canadians. On the one hand, Canadians found the decision harsh, given that the person had no criminal record and that his minor incident had been dropped, yet they were still refused.
On the other hand, Americans chimed in, stating that similar situations were also occurring at Canadian borders.
One person wrote on The Travel , "Same treatment going across into Canada. Spent 3 hours being interrogated and searched. Threatened numerous times to be locked up because of my past career as law enforcement."
"CBSA refuses admission to Canada all the time f
