A Waterloo mother has been sentenced for helping her son sell drugs, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 50 year old Nicole Fordyce has been sentenced to five years in prison on a charge of Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana. Fordyce’s son, 27 year old Jonathan Reins, lived in California where he legally bought marijuana and THC products and then sent them to Waterloo where Fordyce and others would then distribute products between August of 2022 and January of 2024. Law enforcement found an account at a credit union where the profits from the scheme were deposited. There was more than $190,000 in the account. In a search of Fordyce’s home in January of 2024, police found nearly half a pound of marijuana and more than $9,000 in cash in her living room. In November, Reins was sent
