A former Celtic and Morton defender has joined Port Glasgow Juniors.

Efe Ambrose, who played for Celtic from 2012 until 2017, has signed for Port Glasgow Juniors.

Port Glasgow announced on Wednesday evening that the 37-year-old will help bolster their promotion push.

He links up with manager Tam Jamieson.

It's understood Jamieson has been interested in Ambrose's signature for some time.

Ambrose is no stranger to success, as over five years at Celtic he helped them to four league titles, a Scottish Cup , and a League Cup.

Named in UEFA's Team of the Week after the 2-1 victory over Barcelona in the Champions League , Ambrose knows what it takes to get over the winning line in Scottish football.
