Popular Chicago-area grocery store Mariano's is holding a major hiring event Thursday, with walk-in interviews available at all of its locations across the city and suburbs as the busy holiday shopping season continues.

The hiring event takes place from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. across 40 stores, organizers said, including in Arlington Heights, Northbrook, Westchester, Crystal Lake, Oak Lawn, Lake Zurich, Western Springs, Lombard and Frankfort.

"The event provides the opportunity for fresh talent to have open interviews with the store management team for any of the available management, full-time and part-time positions available," according to a release from Mariano's parent company Kroger.
