Neil Patrick Harris opened social media to find Abby Lee Miller had remodeled his face.
The "How I Met Your Mother" actor called out Miller after the former "Dance Moms" star posted photos of the stars of the new Broadway show, "Art," on Monday, Dec. 1. Among less filtered photos with James Corden and Bobby Cannavale is an unusual shot of Miller pointing to Harris as he smiles for the camera. Both Harris and Miller's faces are completely wrinkle- and blemish-free, as if airbrushed, giving them a plastic-like quality.
Fans and Harris himself took to the comments in confusion. "She was trying to take you back to those Doogie Howser years!" one fan joked, recalling Harris' role as a teen on the 1990s medical sitcom. "you've been victimized by facetune," another quipped. Harris, 52, simply asked, "Ummm… what did you do to my face..?"
Miller, 60, noted a day later that she filtered the photo for her own account, given her cancer battle. Miller revealed in 2018, following a stint in prison, that she had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma called Burkitt lymphoma. Following emergency surgery and chemotherapy, she announced she was cancer-free in 2019.
"10 rounds of invasive chemo & a big birthday — so I'm sticking with the filters!" she said, adding, "You sir - always look fabulous no matter what!!!"
Miller otherwise gave a rave review of the show, saying, "If you truly want to LAUGH OUT LOUD!!! Then go see @artonbway," while praising the comedians' timing as "impeccable" and their demeanor "gracious" and "kind."
"Art," which opened in September and is the first Broadway revival of the French play by Yasmina Reza, follows an original Broadway run in 1998.
