BRP now expects its normalized earnings per diluted share to amount to $5, up from earlier guidance for $4.25 to $4.75.

BRP Inc. DOO-T reported its third-quarter profit more than doubled compared with a year ago as its revenue rose 14 per cent.

The maker of Ski-Doos and Sea-Doos says it earned $76.5-million or $1.04 per diluted share for the quarter ended Oct. 31. The result was up from a profit of $30.6-million or 42 cents per diluted share in the same quarter last year.

BRP says its normalized earnings for the quarter amounted to $1.59 per diluted share, up from $1.20 per diluted share a year earlier.

Revenue for the quarter totalled $2.25-billion, up from $1.97-billion in the same quarter last year.
