1Toms River, NJ – The Ocean County Board of Commissioners this week recognized five veteran county employees whose combined public service spans more than 170 years, marking the end of careers that shaped local government and the county’s parks system for generations.
The board’s resolutions honored each retiree for decades of commitment to the residents of Ocean County.
Commissioners praised the group during a public meeting in Toms River, thanking them for their professionalism and for helping guide the growth of county operations over nearly five decades.
The longest-serving of the honorees, Jeffrey J. Graff, retires after 47 years with the Ocean County Parks and Recreation Department, where he helped maintain and expand some of the county’s most visited open spaces.
